Karen's Bed and Breakfast

Our B&B is a surprise to some of our guests because they think it is an older home. The house was actually built in 2007 in a Victorian style with lots of character and high ceilings downstairs, to blend in with the much older homes around us on Portland Street. Prior to this, we owned the big blue house next door and subdivided our land to build this home. It is very unique in that it is probably the only house on the street that has been built as an R2000 home and is very well insulated to certain standards. We have a heat pump and an air exchanger. The heat pump acts like an air conditioner and cools the house in the summer time to help keep us and our guests cool. Ceiling fans are in the bedrooms upstairs to further circulate the air. The house is very easy to maintain with all hardwood and ceramic floors. We are so happy to be able to share our home with guests from all over the world!
